Inside the tooth the living connective tissue is called as dental pulp. And it is covered with two layers called as enamel and dentin. On unbrushed teeth, food particles cumulate. And these food particles are a great source of nutrition for bacteries. Acid producing bacteria get inside the tooth deeper and deeper. Fırst it dissolves tooth enamel and reach to the dentin. In this stage tooth gives warnings sign as little ache. Especially sensitivty comes out on the tooth to the cold and hot then after. In this stage tooth can be saved if the filling treatment applied. Otherwise if it is ignored decayed tissue goes on by passing dentin gets closer to the tooth pulp,within this stage acute pains come out. The acute pains experienced especially at nights are intolarable and unberable. Within this stage the teeth cannot be saved anymore by filling treatments so root canal treatment is required.
